The Egyptian Foundation of Microbiome Sciences and its Applications (EFMSA) is a non-profit organization for society and scientists interested in microbiome sciences and their impact on our life.
Our Vision
Our vision is two-fold: to leverage microbiota for the enhancement of health and wellbeing, and to drive forward research, innovation, and awareness in microbiome sciences. We aim to create a nexus between academic and industrial sectors, facilitating the comprehensive understanding and application of microbiota.
Our Mission
Our mission is to advance the field of microbiome science and its applications by highlighting the critical importance of microbiomes to human wellbeing. We aim to facilitate the exchange of ideas and knowledge both nationally and internationally among academics, industrial sectors, and all those with a vested interest in microbiome research. Through community outreach, we focus on promoting recent outstanding research, identifying future trends, and addressing the emerging needs in the field of microbiome science and its applications.
